K Kvarven Tax Advisors

About us

A Bergen firm of nine advisers and accountants, working with owner-managed Norwegian companies since 2009.

Our story

Founded on one complaint we kept hearing

Kvarven Tax Advisors started in 2009 after years of the same feedback from business owners in Vestland: the accounting was done, the filings went in, but nobody explained what the numbers meant or what to do differently next year.

We built the firm around that gap. Every engagement includes advisory, not only compliance, and every client has a named adviser who is expected to know the company well enough to spot a problem before it becomes a reassessment.

Today we serve just over three hundred companies, most of them between two and eighty employees, across construction, seafood, consulting, technology, retail and hospitality.

  • Authorised accounting firm under the Norwegian Accountants Act
  • Member of Regnskap Norge
  • Professional indemnity insurance in place
  • Partner review on every filing before submission

How we think

Four principles we do not bend

Position before paperwork

We establish what the correct tax treatment is, and only then produce the filing. Filing first and arguing later is how penalties happen.

Everything in writing

Advice you cannot show to a bank, a board or an auditor is not advice. Conclusions come as memos with references.

No aggressive schemes

We do not sell structures that depend on not being examined. If a position needs defending, we tell you the risk in advance.

Confidentiality by default

Client data stays inside the EEA, access is limited to the engagement team, and we do not name clients without written permission.
